as per title,
whats the engine code from a blacktop vtr?

struggling to get valve spring caps from citroen. there being silly.

Could they not use your reg number to find the right part?

no because i dont have a mk1 blacktop engine in my car.
im going boost and want to swap the silly soft valve springs from the silvertop engine, with the stiffer ones from the blacktop.

ive got the springs (thanks to blackie) now just need the caps to match, turning out to be a ballache lol

why not get piper valve springs or the xsi/rallye valve springs? they are tougher than the black top ones

or if you want black top just find a black top vtr off ebay and give them the reg

This is a good shout and is what I do to get bits for my JP4 out of a 307 from peugeot.

wehey.. didnt think of that! ill give them a reg tomorrow, if not ill get some piper ones!
