My catalytic converter on my 1.1 saxo has blown, i'm going to change it myself as it seems it is easy to do (4 bolts at manifold, 2 bolts at exhaust meeting and removal of lamaba sensor)
Question is.. shall i go to the scrappy and grab one of them (not to sure how much they would charge)
Or a local car parts company want £100 for a new one?

I would buy a new one. Too much risk that you'll buy a crappy catalyser from scrappy. Just remove the new catalyser after MOT and save it for next year:y: catalyser for life lol..

Depends how much money you have.
If you have £100 to spend then get a new one, if you only have £30 get a second hand one.
A new one will have a 12 months warranty but one from a scrappy could fail the next MOT. If your MOT is soon I would get a new one so you have peace of mind, if ts 10 months away then just get a second hand one.

scrapy --if its doen,t work you will get your money back

Yeah but how many Saxo's in the scrappy still have genuine Citroen ones?
