im setting up a gsxr throttle body system on my vtr engine.
i will be needing a FPR. i was wondering, is this found attached to the fuel rail on the mk1 engines?.
another thing, how does it work?..
if i`m right it works by the vacuum caused when the throttle is closed causing the valve to open, allowing fuel to flow back to the fuel tank???.
so when the throttle is open there is less vacuum to allow the valve to open as much..
correct me if i`m wrong lads...

if its a mk1 vtr its above the petrol tank.
remove your rear bench and there is 2 black plastic caps.
if you are looking at them from the rear of the car it is under the right hand side cap.

lol..the engine is in an ax...
i went to the scrappy today to pick up a fuel rail. it seems more suited to my needs by the looks of it.. i will go back to the scrappy next week to check the saxo fuel tank to see if it has something that looks like a fuel pressure regulator there. but i think that the fuel rail i have has got it on there.. am i right in saying ther fpr works off a vacuum in the plenum/inlet mani.

if the fuel rail is off the mk2s or a vts then it will be, but the 90bhp vtrs had it on top of the tank.
could you not use a 16v fuel rail?
they have a bigger capacity/flow rate tyoe thing.

it could well have been off a mk2.. to be honest i couldnt tell as the front end was mangled... all i know it it has a diaphragm type valve attached to it unlike the other fuel rail i have.. i will be returning next week to whip the fuel pump off it,.
