hey guys i have a saxo furio, now if i go to like 40-50,000 revs in nearly evry gear will tht cause damage to the engine or to anything?? its not redlining it or anythin as tht would be 60,000 revs. thanks alot

wont do any damage to go to 5-6k as long as its warmed up first

na mate not even a formula 1 car can rev that high.

Ull be fine reving your car to 5k ish just don't do it when its cold as already said

Give the oil 10 minutes to warm up before taking the revs above 2k. I use this rule on every car.

When the oil is cold it can not lubricate properly and means there is metal to metal contact which causes excess wear. 85% of engine wear is done from cold, and that's just driving normally. Ragging it from cold causes a silly amount of damage

Drag racing cars are designed to be used for only a couple of quarter miles, your car is (presumably) a road car :thumbup:

i wouldnt to go far doing 6k all the time

i rarely go above 3k revs
