morning everyone.

i was trying to change my oil last night but when i came to take the oils sump drain nut off i found that it had been rounded off by last owner. :wall:

it looks to be a 24mm but with somesort of a square fitting inside.

what can i use to take this off.

It hasnt been rounded off, you just need to buy the correct oil drain key from somewhere.

It fits on the end of your socket set and you can undo it that way.

Best bet is halfords, i got mine from there.

You want something like this

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Laser-Sump-Drain-Plug-Key-Fits-Citroen-8mm-13mm-Sq-1578-/300912323460#vi-content

As said halfords sell them if you desperately need one, or get down your local motor factors would be a better idea.

Its 10mm iiirc... And a 19mm spanner to use the square head... Dont swing on them because some of them are a welded nut on the inside, if the welds break it will leak and its sump off jobbie... Nooo fun

it cant be a 19mm spanner because i couldnt fit a 22mm socket onto it

the halfords square adaptors are well worth it as you can do your gearbox oil with them too
