Hi All,
I'm after a standard exhaust for a VTS / 16v engine. Manifold from the to the back.
Pug/Citroen want £950 for a full genuine exhaust.
Does anyone know of a standard exhaust that actually fits and works?
Any help would be great. Please don't reply with stick a Magnex on because its quiet :y:

Would you go for a good condition second hand one?
Might be easier than trying to fork out for a brand new genuine one.

Never found a good condition second hand one. Wouldn't pay for a new genuine part.
That's why I'm looking for a new "standard" non genuine that doesn't suck :)
Thanks!

Thing is sometimes you have to fork out on something that will last 10 years, instead of 4-5.

I'd put an add in the wanted section... So many people swap their standard ones for after-market so you might be able to pick a good one up there.
You could also look at Hoffman exhausts. They will do the centre and rear silencer.
I dont think they do manifolds or cats though :/

Have you tried car spares places like Unipart Automotive etc?
Fairly confident you should be able to get a standard system for less than £250 from one of these placed.
Are you just after Cat back or including cat/downpipe?

Hi All,
Don't need the manifold - just everything else.
I don't mind paying, I just want something that actually fits and doesn't have welding / joints that will break after 6 months.
After a recommendation of something I should go for. There's plenty of place's I can get a standard exhaust but I've no idea how well they fit / build quality.
I currently have a 6 month old super sprint on the car, but I'm using it more and more for daily driving so something quiet and standard would go down well for when the car isn't on track or going to the ring.
Thanks

"standard" quality differes alot. all depending on the budget you have. if you arn't happy with certain bends you can always take it back though.

the reason why the genuine one is that price will be the genuine cat and the very well made rear silencer box .
the genuine std system is very good .
the biggest power increase that non genuine ones get is by dumping the cat .

Indeed the genuine exhaust is very good. No need to pay £950 when I don't need it to last £10 years.
