Hi Im slowing acquiring parts for a turbo build
I have done another thread and gone through the basics
Just want to check a few parts out and get peoples opinions
first off iv decided to go with the garret T25 i will be running low boost but i want something tried and tested and fairly reliable hence this turbo
does this one look decent ?

As ill be needing an intercooler and piping iv seen this anyone used this setup ?

Also recommendations on what to get regarding boost control and fuel mapping ie if the engine is running lean or rich (i will be using a mf2 with sigcon at first i already have one)

fit a w/b lambda with gauge so you can check the fuelling +set them up

does this seem like a decent wide band sensor and gauge?

And am i able to control the boost from the waste gate of the t25 ? If i can what will i need to do so? something like this:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Compact-MBC-Manual-Boost-Controller-Valve-for-any-Turbo-car-van-Great-Mod-HP-/141003604327?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item20d4784167
And how do i measure the pressure to turn it up or down?

Yes that will be used to control boost, not as accurate and you can get boost spiking when running high ish boost.
Plust that's not a genuine turbosmart boost controler so don't buy it thinking it is, I have a genuine one for sale if your interested

I know its not was just to show what I was on about, I might take you up on that ,ill drop you a pm if i want it
Im only planning to run about 8 psi so pretty low boost
How do i know what psi the turbo is throwing out to adjust it though

That's what boost gauges are for, try get a decent gauge as the accuracy varies. You need a pipe from your boost pipe going into the boost controller then onto the wastegate actuater

Yeah i know thats what a boost gauge is for what i mean is; where do I plum it into?
This is how i plan to control the boost

Yeah that's correct, and you can either take it from a boost pipe or the inlet manifol.
Rather use the inlet manifold as you will get a reading of what the engine is seeing,

okay so run a t off the inlet manifold to the boost gauge

Yeah that's right. Everything is on the net and would recommend scanning forums etc that's how I gather info

You ideall want the pipes as short as possible on that bleed valve and buy a decent one to reduce spikes and over boosting/wastegate creep

I did read through quite a few different pages on the net but theres nothing like some one confirming wether you have understood properly and always best to speak to those who know what their on about
Okay ill take that into cosideration and keep them as short as poss ill get a turbosmart one just not sure yet wether the bank account says new or used lol

whit that bleed valve you can only increase boost, the minimum boost you can run depends on wastegate actuator spring.

824 pounds for an intercooler kit?
Do more searching mate, I did it for 300 and that's with stainless tubing...
