Right, got a vts fuel pump atm, putting a 1.4 engine in the car, can i just use that fuel pump and just ignore the fuel return and will it work? Cheers

Right... The vts pump will require the fuel pressure reg on the rail and the return to be used...
If there isnt a fuel pressure regulator on the rail then the late vtr's have the regulator on the pump at the tank end, one of these is needed...
Fpr on rail... Return is needed
No fpr on rail.... One on the tank is needed...

Well with the vts engine i had, the fpr had been plugged, i thought everything other than a vts had no fuel return

yeah and because you have a vts pump it needs a return as the fuel pressure regulator is up the front of the car...

ohhh a return from the pump direct to the tank, rather than from the rail to the tank? is that what you mean? Didnt understand properly ha

if it is a late 1.4 which has no fpr on the rail and only one fuel pipe connection on rail then you need to fit fpr at fuel tank --if old type with fpr on rail you need to connect a return
