hi folks
first post, right here!
i am currently building a saxo phase 1 trackday car

ive got the head off because i bought the car cheap with a blown headgasket, anyway.
i have a pair of kent pt52 cams to go in it, my question is how much can i skim the head before i start getting valve/piston clearance issues? it would be nice to skim the head a little bit extra to raise compression and gain a little extra power.

thanks, Dan

Yeah i got them on ebay, i rang up kent cams and they said i just need springs. my pistons have cutouts, do you mean i need a set of aftermarket pistons?

Yeah you need aftermarket pistons... The highest lift on standard pistons is from the ph3 newmans which is 10.18mm your going to 11.08?04?mm youll smash the valves on first start up...
