few conversion qs!

Im hoping to have a vts conversion done on my westcoast in a few months jus need a few qs cleared up! iv had a free gti loom of a mate so if a find an ecu on ebay etc will it work with the loom if i get it unlocked, as long as its single plug like the loom? also will keeping the 1400 gearbox help on acceleration over a vts 1? thanks

yes but you will have to do some re-wiring as the gti loom doesnt fit the saxo loom although all you will have to wire in is gauges if the ecu is unlocked. vts box would be better over the 1.4 iirc (Correct me if im wrong) for accelleration.

Its probably easier to get a vts engine/loom/ecu/gearbox all together? is there any other ways other thatn unlocking the ecu cos iv heard its pretty expensive?

£50 to get it unlocked.
if you get the key and immobiliser with it you can do it yourself though.
