Supersprint or Saxsport?

After looking at the forum loads of people run different exhausts - either supersprint or saxsport. I'm just wondering what makes people choose them and what sets them apart from everything else? What's the differences between them and has anyone got any sound clips/vids? I have a MK2 VTR Silvertop 90 BHP for reference.

If we can gather all vids maybe make this a sticky of exhausts? A sort of catalogue of noise 😁

they both give a raspy sound to the exhaust note, good quality exhausts which fit and look nice so thats why people buy them.
I think the supersprings arent stainless though iirc

Cool cheers! Anyone got any clips of saxsports? I know that a saxsport gives proven gains, do the supersprints give similar gains?

i had both the saxsport and supersprint (older mild steel type) on mine.
With a cat manifold, neither sound any different, both very quiet tbh.

with 4/2/1 decat they were both noisy.
Supersprint sounded the best imo, very throaty sound, the saxport was quite screamy and high pitch.
Both fitted brilliantly, saxsport scraped more on the lowered car, due to the dummy cat.
both looked from the rear like standard exhaust systems to the untrained eye.

Another option is a btb. But i know they are quite rare these days.

Ever considered the Kam racing? I've got one. Full stainless, 2inch out rolled, and pops and rasps like anything, imo is also the best looking.

Yeah like tim said the kam racing sound the best if you can get hold of one :( i believe kam has stopped selling them. But i would get one over any others any-day!!

Dont know if it will work but that is a vid of a phase 2 VTR, 3plug with a toyosport 4/2/1 and the old style mildsteel supersprint midpipe and backbox.

was 91db on a track db test.

Thanks Matt that vids work spot on. I really like the sound of that actually, I'm leaning quite heavily towards the supersprint after I've heard one on a VTR. You still got bits for sale dude?

He's just sold the supersprint to me mate, but I'm pretty sure he's got other bits still for sale
