Pug developed a cough/splutter

When my diesel is idling usually after cold start after a min or so it will develop a splutter like it wants to cut out but then picks up again and it does it randomly... No pattern to the splutters. When it's warm it's fine. Could it be a dicky injector?

Could be a sticky injector,try also changing the fuel filter.
