Hi guys,

I have removed the head and wanting to replace steam seals!

Will it be ok to reuse springs, spring retainers etc and regrind the valves

Or should I replace it all?

Also thinking about cleaning the top of the pistons from all the carbon buildup?

This a good idea or will the carbon help combustion?

Thanks guys

Yes will be fine to reuse all of them.

Cleaning the tops of the pistons will be fine as long as you don;t get any shit in the bores that can damage the cylinder walls.

Cool, I am going to tb the car in winter and will do so head work then, so will update it all at that point!

It's a pure track car so don't see many miles!

If you are TBing the car then to get the best out of them you will need to cam so you are better off looking to what spec springs your cam needs.

the word is stem not steam .as in valve stem seal
,unless your head gasket is gone and its running like a steam engine
