Hey people, just a quick question about the magnex cat back system for the vtr 98bhp. I've ordered one from Larkspeed but before I did I checked out the magnex website and it says for that exhaust it is a three piece system comprising of 2 boxes and a cat replacement pipe. When I called to check this the guy told me there is no cat replacement pipe. Can anyone tell me what I'll actually get when I get my exhaust? Thanks.

I'm guessing you would just get a pipe mate, because the cat on VTR with 98bhp is in the manifold - so obviously you don't get a cat replacement pipe.

How come you didn't ask the guy on the phone?

I know a lad on here who had a Furio with a Piper De-Cat exhaust - decat been beneath the car. He now as a VTR, but kept the decat pipe and fitted a magnex to the VTR but in order for this to work he had to use the decat pipe - even though the CAT is in the manifold.

Hope that makes sense.

Yeah, thanks. I did ask the guy and he said it's not supplied with the replacement pipe, which may well be the case but that was last week and the website still says it so I wasn't sure if he was wrong or just not bothered about changing the website details! I also found it strange that the vts system was priced about £30 cheaper than the vtr system - asked about this too and was told its because the exhaust is longer on the vtr... thought it would have been about the same! Oh well...
