Sounds like it's gone into a safe mode or limp mode what ever you want to call it. Might need to get it plugged in at a garage.

Yep defo sounds like limp mode. Is the engine management light on the dash illuminated? Best get it to the nearest garage fora diagnostics.

i thought a 1.1 was limp mode tbf..
Jokes aside, my friend had a little 1.1 206 and i had a look at it for her, was a flat as a turd when she boughht it, had no power whatsoever, was drivable on a flat, but any sort of hill was a struggle.
After changing/trying various sensors, it went to peugeot in the end and it was the injectors.

any luck you can normally get a diagnostic scanner from internet for quite cheap. Will give you a list of fault codes and give you the option to clear them most times if you clear the codes it will come out of limp mode. \However this wont fix the problem causing the mode and after aprox 20 miles will probally happen again
