pb270 AGAIN

You might remember my previous post on timing a pb270 into a 1400 with vtr head

Car ran well for about 20/30 miles then ran like a pig with no power, pulled head off to find some nasty exhaust valves badly burnt

timing was Full lift @ 114ATDC

anyone else see this before the wee car is electronic and the cam is a fast Road so we didn't get it mapped do you think we should this time.

seems it was running to retarded ignition to close to exh valve opening

so, you did get it mapped, it ran like a bag of shite and died.

doesn't take a genius to figure out what went wrong does it?

Weellllll since getting a skim on head and replacing the exhaust valves we've discovered the car suffers from a bad fuel surge when running 1/4 tank or below which makes the car miss and lean out, so a fuel swirl pot will have to be arranged,

It ran really well then ran with a miss after exhaust valves burned but I don't think the timing is an issue
