started to strip out the mf2 controller and wires. I'm stuck with one wire. There is 2 that go over to the ecu side of the engine one is joined on to the map sensor so I know to removed that but there is another one I not sure where is originally would have went.

It is a black wire that comes out of the ecu plug then goes round to the passenger side and connects to the mf2 controller in to a yellow wire,

Where would this connect to when removed from the yellow mf2 wire ?

Please see photos may help to explain.

thanks

From what I can see it says the coil negative but there is no cut wires anywhere I can see it has been taken from to do with this

will have another look about the coil wiring and check again

any help or tips if that's right would be great :)

Just found this online (http://howertonengineering.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/MF2.pdf)

Yellow
This cable goes to the ignition coil negative,
RPM pulses are picked up via this cable. As this
cable carries ignition coil switching pulses, do
not run this cable near the original ECU cable
loom as this might cause unnecessary interference.
This cable can also be used to pick up
any RPM pulses generated by any ancillary device,
ie alternator, crank

The wire connects to pin 42 so thanks to Luthor worked out it is the rev counter wire that comes from ecu.

Now just need to know does this wire go straight from ecu to the back of rev counter or does it connect in to one of the looms in the engine bay somewhere ?
