Just wondering what you guys would do if you was given the chance to have a standard vtr engine to play with, the engine is now on my work bench and I was wondering;

Where's the best place to buy parts from?
What parts would you buy standard and uprated?
How much would your build cost

Thanks for any help and advice

Depends what you want from it, the 8v engines can be made to give good power but it'll cost you a bit. What kind of r engine is it?

It's a 3 plug engine with cat in the manifold! Tbh I don't want to spend silly money but it's a bit of fun to see what I can get out of it for a reasonable price! Ill buy second hand if I can ( if at a good price and good/new condition) or I'll buy new. So please list what you would do and how much it would cost roughly.

Yeah exactly, looking at putting it into a flat arch so light weight for track days, just a simple rebuild, with head work, can etc could be fun, how ever I do t know what the best setup for the engine is
