Hi, ive currently got on my MK2 VTR a 3'' Saxsport system with a MK1 manifold made to fit to use as a decat, if i got myself a 4-2-1 manifold or 4-1 manifold will it change the sound and add noticeable power? If not i wont bother doing it but thought its best to ask!

Theoretically it should free up a few ponies as the cat is restrictive, and sound a bit better.
On my vts I fitted a complete new system from the manifold back so never noticed the difference in sound a different manifold can make.

It's already decatted mate just using the mk1 manifold offa standard saxo, as my manifold had the cat on it

I'd still expect a gain......

would it be noticable though or change the exhaust tone? My exhaust gets raspy in the 3k rpm region, if i got a stainless manifold opposed to a cast one, would this change anything?

It would sound a bit different definitely and yeah maybe you would see a slight gain but i seriously doubt whether you'd notice the difference in power.

If you decide to change the cam further down the line you'll get better gains then from having the 4 branch fitted.
