Is there a 421 or 41 manifold that will fit straight on a phase 2 saxo vtr ?
I have only been able to find them to fit phase1 which will require oil filter mod which i would prefer not to have to do...
Thanks Kieren

The oil filter mod is pretty easy if you know what you're doing ;)

It's not the fact I will find it hard I'm a mechanic so have the knowledge and assess to everything I need I just think the original system should be fine to use surely there's a manifold made to fit phase 2

It's just a case if the heat melting the oil filter surround in the mk2

So the manifold fits it just melts the filter housing ? so what if I just heat wrapped the manifold and made a small heat shield ? I throught it was a case of it hitting the filter I didn't realise it was just that it melts it, that's easy to deal with

Its just as easy to do a mk1 oil filter conversion.

Ive had a raceland 4-2-1 on my phase two i now have a 4-2-1 toyosport i think fits fine

As above, I had a raceland on my mk2, standard plastic filter and I never suffered any problems.
I did however, not get on with the plastic oil filter set up, Some crack head overtightened it before my ownership which meant it was easily damaged upon removal. If I were to do it again, I'd opt for the mk1 setup.

For how easy and cheap it is to do a oil filter conversion it'll leave you with more manifold options.

Think I'm just gonna risk it for abit and try get a raceland manifold or another type that will fit okay

Its only the Raceland 4-2-1 Manifolds from a mk1 that require the conversion iirc. A 4-1 Manifold will fit without the conversion.

Racelands hardly fit no matter what oil filter you have...

Okay aha guess il look for 4/1 they have better gains anyway

I've got a John Ashley 4-2-1 manifold on mine and not move the filter and no issues yet and that's driven hard

Sounds awesome just got a straight through pipe to the back box so no centre silencer and it isn't too loud with the occasional pop and bang on gear change I'm a happy chappy lol
