What induction kit VTR

I've got a MK2 phase 2 VTR 2001, there's two main induction kits I am interested in firstly the raceland type enclosed cold air feed type

And then secondly the BMC CDA plumed into the original cold air feed.

Both look effective but what one would be better for power

(the car also have 4/2/1, full super sprint exhaust, throttle body polished, the head it going away to be gas flowed, polished and have the ports matched to the manifolds, it will also be running am newmann ph3 when the head it back)

I think most people would say the bmc but I dont think it would make much difference in gains between the two, correct me if im wrong?
The bmc looks better as well ;)

Neither will make any gains.
they are a noise and style modification.
Open cones will make the most noise, enclosed slightly less, BMC almost none. Not really sure, maybe its their design.

Personally, i go for one or the other, noisy exhaust or noisy inlet. Together, on the road they just make a noisy drone.

I would stick with the supersprint and standard airbox. Buy a standard replacement K&N i suppose for maximum gain. Strip the arse end out if you want it to sound more harsh in the cabin.

+1, many people have told me they get better performance gains from a standard airbox with a panel filter and plugged resonator hole

There will be some sort of gains to been seen from them as it's a straight cold air feed, instead of the warm air front the bay, a open cone filter will make noise but will end up sucking in more warm air than when you first started there for I don't see the point in the m ? But something enclosed with a direct cold air feed will work much better. I'm not really after noise at all....
