anyone know what work needs to be done and if it is easy to change from single carburettor in a 106 to a throttlebody with inlet mani? just an idea, not so much for power but just as decor on the bay and want to change something lol, carb looks and is shit especially visually when it comes to air induction

you need an other ecu for best power.

I might buy a turbo.

Not set up and working - just for a bit of decor in the ole' bay.

Correct, However if its a Carbed car it wont have an ECU to begin with.
Lots of wiring and sensors involved and on a 1.0, not worth the cost at all.

Cheapest option, if you did want to go down this route would be to use an ECU from a EFI Saxo, but unless you can do all this work yourself, I seriously wouldnt bother.

Have a look at getting a Weber DCD Conversion or something, You'll get a small increase in power and efficiency, without breaking the bank.

Where would you put it? You could do a battery to boot conversion and put it in the battery tray? Should be able to fit a fairly hefty turbo in there, then!

That would be very aesthetically pleasing. It almost brings a tear to my eye

You thought about compound charging it?
You could weld a supercharger onto the turbo, that would look ace :)

What year is the car?
As most have injection, due to emission rules post 1992.

Some have SPI - single point injection which can look like a carb, but isn't!
