I've just replaced the coil pack and spark plugs on my vtr, not long after, when I started the car up there was a strange knocking sound coming from the top of the engine, when I rev the car slightly it seems to get quicker as the revs build up and slows down as the revs drop....
Any ideas guys? Cheers. Ado.

Did you drop something underneath the coil pack
Or even in the cylinder?

Yeah had this problem myself a few weeks ago, it's the battery mate, it makes that noise when it needs charging, hope it works for you mate.
In 7yrs on sax-p that has to be the daftest reply i've ever heard.:fcuk:

Honestly some of the replies here are retarded. A loose spark plug can make a tapping noise, so can Tappets but why would they be set wrong if they haven't been touched?

Could be a woodpecker has decided to overwinter in your engine compartment. ;););)
