Converted my current policy to the Focus ST. Now i need a fresh policy at the end of the month.

Best quote i've had with the misses on the policy is £714 from Diamond fully Comp, CC, windscreen cover legal cover etc. However I've heard this company is crap ?

Any experiences with them ?

Next best was Elephant a few quid more expensive.

Tried Adrian Flux - too expensive. I think my postcode is a red alert on their system or something. I've never had a competitive quote !

It's basically because you live in Beirut dude.

I'm with Adrian Flux, unreal quote. But then I live in a field on a hill.

Ditto. Postcode is everything. I'm old I grant you, but £350 for a £10k 500bhp 106, and £300 for a £20k RS4...

B1 - B21 postcodes are so bad they're a "refer to insurer". Lol.

I'm none of those postcodes. In fact my area is actually decent and quiet all things considered. EDIT: Sorry i meant, I am Birmingham but not B1 - 21

I'm not bothered about the £700 ( well I am ) but last year I was paying more on the saxo soooo, it's still coming down.

It's just that i have contact from all these independent companies telling me they're unbeatable on price, but they're always shite for me.

Worth ringing direct line or not bother ?

BTW I'm 25, 3 years NCB, one child, one additional driver. Do I need to put the child on the policy even if the misses hasn't actually popped him out yet ? I'd imagine i do.

Whoa whoa whoa.

Why the fuck are you putting a child on your insurance policy? Let alone an unborn one?

Has your Mrs got a car too? Consider a Multicar policy as I've saved loads over the past few years with Admiral and I do routinely get both seperate quotes and Multicar quotes for mine & the Mrs cars each year & it's been spot on.

Well, they ask don't they... any children under the age of 16 ?

So do I say no ?

Lucky you lol.

I remember paying 1500 to insure a 106 XN Time. 1.1

I was fronting aswell at the time. Only way i could possible get insured.
Don't know how they have the nerve to expect people NOT to front, knowing the ridiculous prices.

Having said that some little dickhead in his sisters corsa came ZOOMING past an island the other day. Didn't even look to his right at all. He was doing about 60 easily. Class A Cunt and it's immature dickheads like him that we all have to cough up for.

Well, him and most of Birmingham who don't actually bother with insurance at all.

Haven't you sold it?

It's "50% sold" so technically I need insurance on it I guess. But I might risk it for the last 15 days of ownership or whatever it is! I'm such a rebel.

Sweet beans you're right, I've never considered that, completely forgot they even ask the question!

ARGH

It doesn't count if they're not yours and being held against their will does it?

The top half

The top half

Only an idiot would buy the only original bit with 150,000+ miles on it :D

Given the price, the buyer requested to pay in two parts. I've received the first (roughly 50%) payment. So it's still mine - just.

The second part being sexual favours, it's Muz isn't it. He has a 2 inch cock therefore there would be a fair few sit ins to make up the remaining outstanding £5K.

Sky insurance have been the cheapest for me 3 years running.

My renewal on the Golf is due in a few weeks and I am expecting it to be a decent price.

Getting quotes for £350 on comparison websites (yeah I know) and tried direct line for a laugh.....£718. Direct Line seem to hate me for some reason yet so many people tell me they use them as the prices are competitive!

Flux are shit, sky couldn't touch me till I was 21, brentace was almost £1200 cheaper than any other company.

Insurance is completely random and changes on a daily basis, some companies are generally worse than others, but the prices change so often no-one is "the best" and "the worst".

Flux have been hugely expensive and uncompetitive for me for the last 10 years, and this year no one can get near their quotes. Swings and roundabouts innit.

Brentacre are great customer service wise, the guys are car guys and you can end up having a natter with them.
