Hi guys, i have a 1.5d and dont want to sell it or get a petrol etc i want to keep my car without engine swap. Original engine original car. But i want more speed. I understand its not very easy from a diesel but has anyone had a go with any success? Completely stock atm... Already looking at intake but exhaust i want to know how the exhaust recycle unit works.... Want a custom manifold and exhaust made but not sure how to use this or if i even need it? Also considering ignition upgrade cams and polished head.... Im handy with tools and work in a garage so no prob unbolting and bolting new on:hug:

Not sure if trolling, hmmm. In all seriousness, free flowing exhaust, cold air induction kit with a high flow cone filter. For a serious power upgrade you could turbo it using the pump from an xud9 engine. The clutch will struggle with that though.

Na tuning even if you spend thousands will never see you a quick saxo with that engine. You could try a turbo and a fuel pump of a turbo car. That should see good gains but there is no knowing how much it would take before you melt the thing.

It will never be quick with that engine. You could go for a 1.9XUD engine and tune that

try re jetting the carb and advancing the inanition timing a little. That ought to gain you a little.

Alternatively, plumb up a powerful two stroke leaf blower, pull the trigger for boost!

Nitrous is probably the only decent way on a derv.

turbo. its all turbo with a derv, whack the pump feed up and stick a good 20 pounds of boost into it, that will wake it up, as a general rule and from my own digging, diesels or "over aired and under fuelled" for emissions i guess, keep adding fuel on the pump until the black zorst smoke that comes out at WOT isnt excessive and call it a day, honestly, derv lumps are a bitch to get more out of, oh, and advancing the pump timing a little will find a few horses

Turbo. Only way and its been done on the same engine in a couple of 106s one of which took horrendous amounts of abuse. Look for samass 1.5 Gonad

Hi guys, thats what i was affraid of.. And work in a body garage not mechanics.. Dont really want to do engine swap but does anyone know of a company for an upgrade manifold? Or even a custom one? Problem is the mrs uses the car for work so i cant do anything to drastic..... Do you guys think poss better suspension breaks etc will be the best way to carry more speed through corners?
