Hi guys,
Just thought I'd share my experience with you all and maybe save you some money!
Most of you will already know this mind.
The mod : I fitted a Green performance cotton panel filter in the standard airbox and removed the resonator box and blanked the hole off.
The result : More induction noise, not loud like an open filter, but its subtle and nice. I am also convinced it pulls better and stronger at low revs.
The air filter element cost me £32 (roughly) off KamRacing (great place to buy parts for pugs/saxo's) and the removal and blanking of the hole cost me nothing!
Cheaper than an induction kit, pulls better, sounds better and doesn't decrease performance like an open airfilter does.
Also, you could run an extra cold air feed to the resonator box hole, however I opted not to do this. Maybe you would get more noise and more performance by doing this....
Just thought I would share!
Dan
