Hey Guys. So I have a slight issue currently with my car and its cooling sys. Basiclly no mater how long of a journy i go on my temp gauge never moves, according to my gauge my car is stone cold. Also my heating in car never really gets hot just abit of warm air and she runs really really rich. Are all of this issues connected in some way and if so, what needs replacing?
Cheers

thermostat is stuck open or missing by the sounds of it. Nice easy 20 minute job on these engines, just put a new 'stat in after flushing the system and filling with anti freeze. Will pay for itself in the fuel saved, wear and tear etc plus in this cold weather you want a heater!

See the oil dipstick? right next to that pretty much, On the right there black hose leading from the radiator where it goes to a housing on the head, the thermostat is in there.

the thermostat is still in the same place. Follow the hose from the top right hand side of the radiator back to the head and you'll see it is fixed to a housing while can unbolt
