Quick question, I have a VTS lump and loom, with the ignition barrel out of the donor car. Do I need the immobiliser out of the donor car so that i won't have to unlock the ECU. Or is it enough to unplug my immobiliser then use the new barrel and ECU, will that be okay ?

you're best to retain the original barrel to the car and swap to the donor engine's fob and transponder unit (immobiliser) and ecu.

Yeah get all the stuff from the donor car or alternatively unlock the ecu on the donor by starting it and unplugging the immobiliser, then you can use that ecu and loom on the receiving car. Don't use your immboliser with the ecu from that donor as it will lock the ecu and not work

I swapped everything, so barrel, immobiliser, ECU and locks match.

barrel has nothing to do with the immobiliser.

Agreed but the key does.
