Er no. They're for a ford engine so wont fit...

By the sounds of it, I think it'd be best for your engine if you got someone else to "just chuck" the cam in for you

I didn't see anything about ford but thanks seen it now, the Newman ph3s are just a straight swap though? Don't have to play with timing if getting a remap?

You may find it runs like dogshit on the standard timing marks - retarding the exhaust cam a fraction can help stop it stalling at junctions (if it does) until it's timed up properly and mapped.

even worse than that its single cam --not 2 cams which yuo will need for a 16v engine

why not use out ulitmate road cams --no better price for cams similar to cat 708 --and as said adjust ex haust cam for best idle if no ecu mods

Okay will order them soon, just adjust idle so it's running smooth. When I take it for remap shall I tell them iv had cams fitted amd adjusted nye idle? Thanks

You're not adjusting the idle to help it run smoother pre-mapping, you're adjusting the exhaust cam timing. So yes, tell them you need them to time the cams to spec (data is available from Newmans) and then map to suit.

if you are running a standard inlet then start on standard cam timing. Really the car should be mapped to sort the fuelling rather than whacking the idle up. This applies to GMC's camshafts, the Newman PH3 (http://www.kamracing.co.uk/newman-ph3-fast-road-camshafts-citroen-saxo-vts.html) and Catcams 1321743 (http://www.kamracing.co.uk/citroen-saxo-vts-fast-road-camshaft-set-cat-cams-1321743.html)

its not fuelling problems as such but the overlap is confusing the idle control system closing ex cam at TDc will smoooth it out

As said, Pinto is a Ford engine mate and a SOHC (single overhead camshaft), whereas a VTS is a twin camshaft engine. Just thought I'd help explain things.
