Running to hot

Saxo vtr 2002 seems to be running to hot judging by the spark plugs what do I do to put it right.

What symptons led you to taking the plugs out? Is the coolant overheating or are you getting an overheating warning on the dash? Or did you just notice the plugs during a service? It would be odd for severely overheated plugs to exist without some other symptoms leading you to check them.

nice and white is good
blue on tip is overheating

Realy white plugs thought that was a sign of engine running to hot.

I've always thought a nice tan colour was a good plug

not with modern unleaded fuel + ecu systems -std cars run whiteish

I would say no colour is normal on most engines,not white
I would get it checked on a rolling road if I were you.

Clean plug = fine. may be some light brown deposits.

Glazed or blueish on the metal is lean.

Black and sooty is obviously rich.

I am not going on what i would remap too but what i see very often on plugs removed from std cars just a different make of fuel can alter colour of plug or make or type of plug ==but would i worry about a clean looking plug on a std car --not in the slightest
supermarket has sod all additives --so that could be the cause
one making 200bhp and 8k --yes i would want it cleanish in middle and black at edges presuming modern 16v --an old rover v8 or mini burn is so poor that would a different story
that why the plug is in the middle to get best burn - -but that wasn,t the question --was it --std car it was
as for howlong --its actually more than 40 years now as i,m 63 -first stand alone i fitted was in in 1990 on our axsport-
webber alpha --so yes right from the start of after market tuning --when i soon reaised that carbs are a waste of time as are ditributors -- after spending so much time with our racing mini in the late 60,s on rolling roads only to find that what you dialled ina hot rolling road was nothing like the real world due to no temp correction on inlet temps etc
