I'm currently running 743 cams, powerflow 2" decat, 4-2-1 exhaust and simota air filter in my 106 Gti.
I've fitted B12 sportline and 306 Gti-6 brakes.
I got an engine block with oil pad/pump, crank, rods and pistions in my basement along with a complete cyl. head but no intake manifold.
My plan is to rebuild and charge it.
I got a grand to spend atm., but on what?

what to buy to rebuild it you mean?
If you want to charge it then forged interals, then rebuild bottom end, reground crank, crank end seals, big end bearings, re-bored cylinders, new pistons rings, then go to the head, skim the head, valve seats reground, new valve seals, etc etc. Cambelt, water pump, aluminium pulleys etc.
That would be a full overhaul, depends how far you want to go but plenty to spend on :)

I'd put a predator on it! Throttlebodies. I wouldn't charge it unless you want to spend a few grand and do a decent setup

I like the itb route, but they are 1100-1500 + ecu
For that kind of money it's posible to make a DIY turbo with close to 200hp.
Jbrady, is it really nessesary to go all the way if i keep it below 250hp?

If you want reliability yes, I'd stay around and below 200ish if you're keeping standard internals.
You don't have to go and fully rebuild the whole engine if you're doing it on a budget, maybe just head gasket and cambelt and water pump?

I've got Kms Throttlebodies and omex 600 for less than 1000

even low boost will be alot quicker than t/bodies --at this stage of new engine if you spend on forged pistons -then you can boost at any level inthe future
£500 ish for pistons -- rods not a must if keeping rpm at std --which is all you will need with sensible boost
ecu system you will need which ever way you go from here

You are proberly right.
My problem is i'm on a (somewhat tight) budget and i'm no mechanic, but i can do a fair bit of diy my self and i have a friend who have build some stable high-end turbo cars over the years.
The plan is to get a F/IC unless i can find a pred for a decent price - currently looking at one for 200-280£
For turbo im quite keen on this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/T25-T28-T25-T28-TURBOCHARGER-NISSAN-200SX-S13-S14-TURBO-/400241312014?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item5d303dc10e
I'm not too sure about injectors, but i guess it's fine to run the stock up to 180ish?
It is posible to use catcams 743 or will the overlap cause problems?
I got the stock cams, so it's no problem to switch around
