Heat shield under car rattling bolts have snapped of is it OK to just remove it or should I try to secure it somehow.

Just pull it off. Assuming you mean the one under the boot floor?

No its the one under the centre section of exhaust.

This. Didn't run one on mine and only difference was tunnel got a bit warm - and I'm not being sarcastic for once. It was a 'bit warm' not in any way 'hot'.

think it would depend on what country ,ambient tempsyou have and how much sitting in traffic --that will be why they fit them --never used one on my race cars never a problem -
