Hi guys
I know this is a very well discussed subject, however I have searched through the forum and not quite found the answer I was looking for, so here goes.
I'm replacing the head gasket on my 51 plate Furio and have come into a bit of a snag.
Following the Haynes manual I need to put timing pins into the flywheel and the cam pulley. However, problem I have is that the oil filter is in the way of the flywheel hole, or at least leave very little gap for me to:
a. locate the exact hole position,
b. enough place to be able to insert the pin.
The is a picture in the Haynes manual, but its of an older engine with a traditional oil filter I believe, where mine has the replacement element filter.
Can anyone advise me on how they got round this (if they got round it). I assume you should be able to do it without removing the oil filter and housing.
Photos would be appreciated :)
