The 8v engines can benefit greatly from porting. The exhaust ports especially. However I have only ever done it to race prepped engines so no idea what it will achieve on a relatively stock engine.

a few bhp on standard engine tho if you have manifold , exhaust , cam , induction then get it mapped it will benefit so much more , it all works in harmony

how does the porting work ? like how do they do it
i have a 106 quicky engine with a ported and polished head it seems so nippier compared to the furio i have? and thats basically the only different i have on the 2 engines.

Improving the flow of gases basically by opening up the inlet and exhaust ports/channels in the head and smoothing them out using various grinding and polishing tools. Usually done when someone's gone for a lairy camshaft and other supporting mods

If I actually get mine running I'd be interested in getting this done if anyone has recommendations?
