W reg 16v engine in 53 plate car?

Hey guys. Currently looking to buy a 106 project. I've been offered my old saxo vtr back that's on 50k ish at a great price with decent mods that I done. However ever feels sluggish! I've also been offered a 106 Gti with a knackered rear axle and shafts for 300. How easy would it be to put the engine from the w reg Gti to the 53 plate saxo? Cheers

Straight swap....will need to change ecu etc aswell, possibly interior loom and a fuel return off the gti engine but can be done in a day if you know what you're doing or a weekend to take your time

You'll need to use EVERYTHING off the GTi if you want a plug and play install. essentially a "re-shell".

martin means dash board, wiring loom every thing --as 3 plug is different electric system

not just engine and loom
