Hi all

we recently dropped a vtr engine into a pug and used the 1.1 loom vtr ecu

anyway all running but we just hooked up the water works today

we appear to have a later one so no stud on rad

we have a sender on the thermo housing ... we cannot get the fans to come on nor the light on the dash

and things are getting to hot for our liking (no temp guage)

how can we test the sender i think it sends the temp to the ecu but dont know for sure and does the same sender signal the dash warning light

any info would be helpfull

The ecu you're using won't have the wire connected for the dash display,to make the fan come on bridge the fan connector. What I suggest you do is get an unlocked vtr ecu and a set of vtr clocks.

VTR clocks dont fit

tried new senders and changed relay

the fans come on if you turn ign on and off regards of what combination of senders relays even got the 1.1 ecu on atm

no ecu light but the temp light on even when cold

fecking baffled

is there a way to put a smiths or similar temp gauge on it ...

then if im still stumped i can put a temp switch in the rad and bypass ecu

If it's a pug 106 then a saxo dashboard and clocks will fit and vice versa.
