Any recommendations on what type to grab as want to wrap some area of me exhaust system that is now on and maybe wrap the new manifold when arrives before fitting.. Or it better to just wrap the whole exhaust including mainfold?

DEI Titanium stuff is a lot easier to work with than the fiberglass stuff. Bit dearer but I'd pay it every time to avoid having to wet and manhandle the fibreglass wrap, then spending the next few days with itchy hands because I forgot to wear gloves, again.

I would not recommend using it at all.

This. Only use if the exhaust is causing problems with other ancillaries. Its not a performance modification no matter what the marketing blurb says.

indeed, relocating and heatshielding is far more effective.

Thing I found from old exhaust system its rubbed a hole though heat shield and come into contact with the sold plastic for petrol tank not sure how bad it is if tiny amount or means getting petrol tank changed on it new heat shield for that section or heat wrap that section of pip. New exhaust system has about 2 inc clearing from it so not much clearance hence why thought to wrap it in that section..

2" Is more than enough if you have a heat shield, just make sure the exhaust wont hit anything.

Have heat shiled but theirs a hole in corner where old exaust systems rubbed though to where looks like petrol tank so looks like gonna need maybe tank depending on how think the plastic is and heat shield.

Weld the heat shield up. Be easy enough to patch it. It doesn't have to look neat.

Zircotec white coating is more effective. Wrap just falls off after not very long.

Hi bought my exhaust wrap from Fast Fox (http://www.fastfoxperformance.com). Really fast and efficient service.
They also "sell" coatings from Zircotec and Performance 1 Coating (http://www.performance1coatings.com)s (as from my understand, they offer Collection/Delivery, which makes it a really nice bargain!)

That's not a advertisement at all

Yeah... anything but wrap. Putting wrap on is just a very fast way to shorten the life of your exhaust parts by giving a perfect rust and corrosion environment.

Even in NASCAR, where there was once a time when you'd never see a car without header wrap, I think even calling it rare is a reach at this point. Everyone has moved on to ceramic coatings, and for good reason.

More info about the whys here (http://www.centuryperformance.com/exhaust-header-heat-wraps-do-not-use.html)

Zircotec ceramic coating is known to be durable but expensive.
