Saxo mk1 vts starting problems

Hi there I have a saxo vts 1997, it will turn over but wont run.

It seems to fire up for a second or 2 with my foot flat on accelerator get to about 2k revs then cut straight back out. I have had the ECU tested at bluehawk and came back okay and unlocked as car no longer has immobiliser I have also changed crank sensor but to no avail it has had new spark plugs recently fitted aswell.

What most likely is causing this problem?

Have you tried cleaning the idle control valve?or swapped over the coil pack?

when car dies does the rev conter srop instantlt ot zero or slow down as engine --if it drops instantly ,then your ecu has lost its rpm signal
