please help my light wont go off

my battery light wont go off smileys/smiley5.gif , thought it could be the battery or the altonator (not a good speller lol) got a new battery and had the altonator tested both are fine smileys/smiley5.gif and working well but the battery light still stays on if anyone has experienced this problem please let me know what it is or any ideas would be great

try checking the stereo wires are round the right way and that there are no loose strands. this should solve it. To test dissconnect the head unit and then start the car and it should go out smileys/smiley2.gif smileys/smiley14.gif

na its not that mate, the keypad imobiliser is not working rite eather it wont set itself and the battery light is a random thing isnt on all the time and i dont have a stereo in the car at the moment but thanks for the suggestion any other ideas you might have would be good
