I know the J4 head has smaller valves than the JP4.

I have heard different responses regarding JP4 heads.

ie are all the C2/206/307 JP4 heads valves sizes the same?

im not really interested in cams/inlet etc i just want the best bear head for valves. someone said only the c2 VTR and VTS have the better flow head.

I don't exactly remember, but I think the bigger ones come in the C2 VTs and in the 206 XS 1.6 16v, but I don't know about the ones in the Xsara, 306, etc..

there isn't a 1.4 16v TU.

valves are all the same, head casting is the same.

JP4S originally had uprated springs over the JP4, however if you need a replacement spring for a JP4 you'll be supplied the S springs now.

its the cams and inlet manifold that make the main difference in the 125 bhp engine over all the 110's.

One teeny weeny difference is with the oil galleries, some (earlier ones it seems) have screw-in gallery plugs so you take them out and clean the galleries but others have steel balls pressed in which stay put.

If you're looking to build a head, it's good to know it's galleries are clean.
