hi all, just saved a saxo vtr from being stripped and scrapped, it has a few issues but main one is this
slight fuel leak from this connector, does when driving and if i press it in a little bit fuel spurts out
any ideas of a fix

look at top pic fuel comes out from inside of connector where the white square tab is, you can see some wetness, if i press down on connector as if i was pushing it fully home it starts spurting fuel out, ive noticed when ive been driving its allways wet around this connector area so vibrations are obviously unseating it
and it is fully pushed home

ok ive now had a good clean of inside of connector and its still spurting out fuel when pushed in slightly, so either im missing something or the feed connector is fubard
can i just remove connector from end of pipe and add a small length of tubing and then connect this to the inlet pipe with wormdrive clip

i would bet you do have breakers in the area, actually there's a specific psa breaker in lancing.
anyway, there's one or two o-rings inside, I would pull them out, measure them and order some off ebay.

im mean local as in my town i dont want to risk driving over to lancing incase the clip decides to let go as i crawl through brighton traffic, my local breaker is motorama but they havnt got any saxos in at the moment
the rings seem good as ive already checked them, its seems to be the actual clip part thats bust unfortunatly

doesnt need to be a saxo, nor do you have to drive a leakong car to get a part.
i doubt a clip will cause it to leak unless it's falling off, in which case a few cable ties will sort it.

Usually it's in fact very simple. replace the inner o-ring, apply some silicone lubrication and put it back.
If not physically broken that's the usual culprit. ;)
Special note: For piece of mind get "fuel" grade O-rings not the "plumbers" version.
Use a pick to extract the old one and a lot of patience to set the new one in place. ;)
