No spark and fuel pump isnt priming

Hi does anyone know what the think grey wire from pin 22 on an early s2 106 gti does every wiring guide i can find says its blank and wondering if thats causing the no spark and fuel pump not priming issue ? Thanks in advance

Im further into this now and still nothing its a 02 1.1 106 shell 3 plug with a single plug gti engine/loom iv now got the fuel pump priming and have 12v to the coil and injector plug but only while the pump is priming or if i crank the engine it goes to 0v is there somthing im doing wrong on a single to 3 plug splice ? Thanks
