That's all fine and well, but if there is any signs of wear on the major parts (the main shaft for example) then you might make it worse when you fit new seals and it'll start to leak.
These need to be clinically clean, ANY dirt will ruin it. If it's running fine and it's not leaking then I'd leave it be. A proper overhaul and rebuild is only about £300 at a diesel shop which is well worth it if it's a vehicle you depend on or need to perform.
Any links to this guide?
Might as well have a go though :)

I think it might be worth for him to searchfor a used pump or new then or get it rebuilt professionally, his pump is with immobilizer does the new pump need to be with immobilizer aswell or it can be without ?

Oh I recognise those pictures!
Use this link for the VE rebuild (http://www.brick-yard.co.uk/forum/ve-injector-pump-rebuild-in-colour_topic17456.html)
No it does not need an immobiliser. You will just need to wire ignition live to the stop solenoid.
What is wrong with his pump at the moment?

If it's already leaking I'd find another second hand pump or have it rebuilt then.
:)
It's a lot of disappointment to fit a seal kit to find out it's still leaking once it's re-fitted.

On another note do you know if the diesel saxo takes red or blue coolant? I have red coolant at the moment but someone told me ut takes blue coolant

Either coolant is fine, just don't mix them.
The COLOUR is irrelevant. the 2 types are Glycol based or Silicate based. I use the Glycol based as it lasts 5 years.

Yes and no.
If you try and run it on veg from cold or short journeys you'll pop the seals in the pump. increased pump wear as well.
Lucas pump 100% cannot run on veg oil.

I read somewhere that the best pump for veg oil is the Bosch pump.

It is, but it'll still wear it out faster than white diesel. :y:
