Hi all. I have a mk2 saxo vtr, I'm getting screaming revs on it. Obviously I know it's either drawing in too much air from somewhere or a sensor has died.

Basically I've see that my throttle has an alloy mounting point for the tps and it's broken off rendering the tps out of action!

I can see that once the 3 bolts are out then the whole throttle/butterfly slides out from the housing! My problem is that I can't seem to get hold of one as quick as I'd like as my saxo is my daily!

Is there another inlet that would fit the mk2? I have a 1.4 c2 inlet but the pipes are considerably narrower so I didn't want to put that on! Also every other throttlebody I've seen is plastic molded and the whole thing splits!

Anyone have any ideas if there's another way around it?

Should I aim for a mk1 vtr inlet?

Should I burn it? Lol.

Cheers in advance!

This worked great. Moral of the story...... don't hit your car with a hammer in temper [emoji23] and also there's no need to try get the tps off a mk 2 saxo, it's easier removing the 3 screws on the front of the throttlebody and taking the lot out before removing the tps lol

Just so you know, narrower tracts aren't necessarily bad for power. for future reference. :P

Ah really? Cheers for the reply.
At least I know if I need to replace it!
