Hi, looking for some help locating and fixing a coolant leak on my MK1 VTS. There's coolant dripping (slowly) off the back of the sump. I'm assuming it's somewhere around the air release valve but it's real tricky to see underneath the carb. I'm assuming I'll have to remove the carb to work out exactly where it's leaking from. I'm trying to find out if there's an obvious culprit here that folk have encountered to save any unneccesary diagnostic mechanics. Currently having to fill with water during every trip! Appreciate any input, cheers

Carb?
There is a rear water outlet on the back of the block. Likely the culprit. It's only really visible from underneath the car.

Injectors I mean! :)

And you're bang on as I had a closer look this afternoon and saw some surface rust on that outlet. Would it then be cracked or poorly sealed/gasket gone? I'm guessing the injectors need removing to get at it? Is that a tricky job do you know? Seems real tricky to get at. Cheers for input

You can still buy it from Citroen, it's called "water manifold" on their system.

Guaranteed you'll break it removing it.

Get a new one and some new hose clamps :)

It's fairly straight forward to change with a 10mm socket (6 point I may add!)
