Hello,
I have a 2002 Saxo VTS 8v 98BHP. I have been offered a S2 Rallye gearbox. So I've been reading and can't really find if it will be worth it in a 2002 VTS/VTR 8v.
Som say the gearbox are more or less the same? But wheen researching I found that the 2002 VTR gearbox final drive is less than the S2.
Is it worth it?

Yours is not a VTS, must be a VTR if it is 8V. The VTR box has a very long final drive compared to the Rallye box. The Rallye box should give you crisper acceleration at a slight expense of economy as engine revs will be higher.

Guess I'll go for it then!
We have very few VTRs in Denmark, only VTS 16v and 8v, and we have a Saxo Sport, but I'm guessing our VTS 8v is identical to the UK VTR.

If you want lower revs for the motorway, swap 5th gear from your original gearbox into the Rallye box; its a bit longer

Do you know how high the revs will be with the S2 rallye box on motorway. Our limit is 80mph.
