Hello,
I have turbocharged My Saxo vts 8v. Im running a piggyback DET3 so i can control and change the fuel and ignition. My problem is when im changing the fuel in the DET3, the original ecu will not react from the signal i give from DET3/MAP. it's like the standard ecu wont let me "cheat" it. Im currently running standard MAP sensor. Do I need to change it to one which is specific for turbo cars. Like a 2.5 bar map sensor? Is that the problem, or do I have to do something Else for the ecu to change the map signal? :panic:

Regards Alex

I thought the DET came with a map sensor?

I thought the DET came with a map sensor?

It does. Should i hook it up? But will it make the problem go away? I can change the fuel in det3 but the oem ecu will not change the signal to the injections.

I've never used one, but I thought you use the det3 map, as an input source then output from it to the stock ECU?
The standard map sensor will not read anything above atmospheric pressure. So the det3 would surely need it's own map sensor connected somewhere so it knows what to do?

my guess would be you are not in control of the lambda -so the std ecu will be trying to run at fuel settings in std ecu
check and see if you can offset the lambda map with this unit
I have no knowledge of this unit and then what age of car is it ?
what ecu type
if later type npt marreli 1ap --then it will be harder

probably better off ripping the det 3 off and getting an omex dta eat or having Wayne at chip wizard map the std ecu

altho the det3 is very capable considering it costs less than a decent boost controller. it can run the injectors standalone so would suggest getting that wired in then going from there no point using it piggy back when it can do standalone
