Saxo Engine Swap

So I see the engine in the Saxo, drive it, push the limits of it, but its not enough, and I don't wanna buy a VTS, so I had this crazy idea, I wanna engine swap it, I had an engine in mind, but I don't know if it will work out. So my question is: Can I put 1.9 TDI engine in my Saxo?
