Hey everyone - I tried fitting a catalytic converter to my saxo recently (2002 1.1 engine, HFX/TU1JP, confirmed by VIN and the number stamped on the engine).

This is the one I tried - a BM catalysts BM90860H. It comes up as the right one on a bunch of parts sites:

But the pipe was slightly the wrong shape, and it was touching the engine block near the oil filter so there was no way to get it on right.

Does anyone know if theres different variations of this cat type (the one that fits directly under the manifold)? Thanks :y:

I didn't actually buy this one myself, it's been lying around for a few years and it also wouldn't fit my brother's 106 (same year and same engine as my saxo) - so maybe it's just wrong from the factory or something!

BM cats are the cheapest of the cheap, wouldn't be surprised if it was welded wrong.

Got a replacement and it's different, on the pipe and the manifold bit. So yeah, just sent the wrong one before I think!
