View Full Version : Manifold Heat Shield Question !

My manifold heat shield is in a right old state so i'm looking to replace it. Any idea if i can get this as a pug part or not, because the peugot place is only up the road from me, and i have to trek into bradford to shitroen.. they're not very friendly on the phone, all they say is "we're peugot not citroen how are we supposed to know"

help appreciated !

Mine's a bit of a state too. I was thinking of spraying it with some high temperature manifold paint to make it look a bit better

The pug one is the same, it will be cheaper too. Tell them that the car is a stockhatch and has been built up indipendantly, hence you have no chassis number etc, the manifold heat shield is the same for all 106 gtis and VTS's unless i am much mistaken. Expect it to be helish money though being from a main agent

Is your vts Mk1 or 2? Although mk probably doesnt matter...

I have a heat shield spare in my shed...

these heat sheilds cost alot from citroen i remember someone at work had to get one cost him about £50

Is it worth putting a heat shield on the manifold? what difference does it make?
